Project Mid-Life 52 #5

Another week, another my mid-life project entry.

I. Body

Ouch!

The joy of having cats is that sometimes they forget they carry weapons and you’re a sensitive, weak human. My hands get so many scars because of them, some of them permanent.

II. Objects

Egg

Over the last 5 years or so, my breakfast has been an egg. Eggs are great: fat, proteins (important when you’re vegetarian), and 0 glucose. They don’t raise your blood sugar, so when you’re diabetic they’re perfect. Well, apart from the fact that the yoke is extremely rich in iron, which I discovered when my liver iron started to spike (so not so many eggs).

As I take a photo and a description of everything I eat, I litteraly have thousands of photos of eggs in my library. I can tell where I was at any point in time because of these.

All egg (dixit Mrs Doyle)

III. Places

Olive tree

Next to the barn featured last week. This olive tree has really truggled when it was ina put: too hot and dry in the summer, too wet in the winter. never happy. We planted it here a few years ago and now it even makes a few olives a year.
