Eiffel tower

I grew up in Paris, but only went to see the tower once. That’s usually what happens to the locals: they don’t do the touristy things.

A few years ago, I went with a friend of mine on a foggy Sunday morning and took some photos. The structure is amazing and makes great monochrome shots.

I used the Canon 350D + Sigma 10-20mm and a grad for this shot.

The processing was very straightforward and the exposure was already what I wanted without any heavy processing.

A software engineer looking 50 in the eye. Photography picked up over 20 years ago, then set aside as life intervened — and recently returned to, with a deliberate focus on monochrome. Also drawn to found negatives: rolls of film abandoned by strangers, full of lives worth rescuing from obscurity.
