Zine Exchange Club Zine #1

I setup the zine exchange club a few months back.

I like zines as a window into what interests people and how they try to build a consistent narrative. It’s better than the odd isolated photo posted here or there on social media to understand photographers because you need to create a story that can sustain attention, and that requires investing more of yourself into the object than the throw away photograph.

In a way they remind me of photojournalism at the personal level.

My zines are normally one-offs: I create them for the exchange, and only the recipient ever sees them. I don’t print series, I don’t show them anywhere else.

But I thought I should share them in electronic form with everybody here since they exist and contain photos I often don’t show elsewhere.

Here is one of the first ones I sent. It was a metro trip in Paris.
