That’s another Archer reference for you after yesterday’s title. First day of rest in our house. Internet back up (it had been down since April), everything unpacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our town is in a small town. Though for us it’s huge: it’s literally 100 times our village. Here, they have proper streets, just about bitumen-covered tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming from Oslo, there is a big difference: it’s warm and we palm trees everywhere. I have the Miami Vice music in my head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been meaning to take this street name for a while. It’s weird to have this in the middle of a Southern Spain town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s interesting when you’re not here a lot is that you notice things change. There used to be a ruin on that field. We always thought it was a big enough space to build an interesting house. But it’s too close to a main road and noisy. It looks like someone has finally bought it. For some reason I liked including the wires at the top of the frame, as if they were framing the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One tradition in the village is to leave your front door open all day. All houses have a double door with a hall in-between. Often the inner door is just a gate. But in the summer it lets heat in and in the winter cold in. So a lot of houses have a curtain outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m still interested in people crossing the streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back home. We have a long corridor between buildings that is covered to make it an enclosed space. With any sun, it turns into an oven. So we have that curtain to help. I thought the angle was interesting because it feels like it’s upside down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
