It was another sunny day on Saturday, so instead of walking indoors, I went for a walk around our village<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the population of the village is aging, there are many abandoned barns around the village, with roofs caved in or about to cave in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of our walk was on white tracks. These are agricultural tracks used by tractors. They’re usually covered in a mix of stones and calcaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had in mind to take a few photos of dandelions because it’s the season. This one was in a field just outside the village, with a barn in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had to be on the floor to take this one. I liked that the dandelion’s fluffiness echoes the cloud’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 3 rows of trees in the middle of a field. It’s very unique and I haven’t seen that elsewhere in the area. Obviously planted and used as carpark for hunters. the woods in the background are full of deers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hunters also install these watering stations. It’s not altruistic or for the love of animals. It’s so that they have something to hunt. It’s not uncommon to have next to no rain between March and October around here. Hence the vine business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corrugated iron roof directs the little rain there is to the reservoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this season, there are also a lot of beehives around. It’s surprising how many people make honey in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the vines have been trimmed and are ready for the new season. They will soon have leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn’t resist taking this isolated road intersection marker that from the ground looks like a lighthouse for the tree that looks like a large sail ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time to walk back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
